Lovely surprise @ Work!!

Opened my work drawer and there it is!! A lovely surprise from my dear trainer HT!! awwww!! A b'day gift! Quite an early one cuz well I won't be at work on my b'day on 29th May hehe... Haben open it yet cuz I plan to open on Thursday itself kekeke I wonder what's inside... *poke poke* hmm soft!!

Then my boss pulled a trick on me!!! *LOL* I cudn't imagine it hahaha... She use her workdesk phone n called the front bench, Ivan happen to pick it up and pass to me. Boss say she wanna talk to me regarding the equipment maintenances that I was asking her juz now. So... I relly thought she was calling me out for that, so i innocently grabbed my materials to ask her and went to the back to her workbench.

Actually, I was looking at her and not at the Biochem small pantry, but she was like looking at me smiling and then... I notice that the Biochem pantry was quite dark then when I peered more closely.... *lol* aw........ there's a birthday cake with lighted candles on it!! So touched!! Boss!! I can't believe u tricked me! hehehe... but it was a lovely surprise =D They sang happy birthday song, I made a wish and blow the candles heh... commented that they got the wrong number of candles! Shud have 8 small candles and 1 big candle, not 2 big candles kekekeeke =P

Found our later that it was dear HT that bought me the cake... she's so sweet!!! Thank you HT! *huGssss* It's my first bday celebration in TTSH heh... cuz previous year it was SBJ n Joyce who tricked me into going out for lunch on the pretext of discussing presentation to CTM, but turn out they prepared a mini cake and treated me lunch heee....

Went for lunch at "Ayam Penyet" at Novena Square 2 basement with Ivan & Joyce too then another surprise! haha... I was treated to lunch. Wah... actually coming to work on my supposedly off-day is good arh!?! lol got bday cake, pressie, wishes & free lunch! *lol* TY all BTS hot chicks (sorry guys, u have to be one of the hot 'chicks' too haaha girl rulezzzz)! I love u all! *hugs & kisses* =D

The day turn out to be ok, nothing busy hehe manage to finish all my equipment maintenance paper work for the audit happening next week. sweet! I can go on leave in peace!

Dear sms me at 5.30pm saying that he's juz having his lunch then. ArgHHH!! Wan to kok his head! Always so busy till no time to eat! How NOT to be skinny =( Next time I muz go pack his lunch so that he can eat at his office desk when too busy to go out. heh..

Before I went home, I sms-ed Xav to ask if got maintenance anot today... turn out to be lorh.... *sigh* o well... it's a sign for me to go cut my hair hahaha... cuz i decided that if got no maintenance then i go home n cut my hair tomorrow; if got maintnenace then i go PS Kimage to cut hair hehe...

Whee!! I didn't make any appointment, but lucky Sam's free to do my hair cut =D As usual hehe I like the way he cut my hair! =D So if any of u girls wanna go for haircut, go for Sam at Kimage! Recommeded hehe... Purchased my Kimage Style Card for just S$13 and I got 20% off for my haircut hehe... so i only pay $36 for the hair cut... very wu hua lo.... but erm... on my way home on mrt, saw my reflection in the mirror... then kinda feel my hair's kinda too short =O Used to be down to almost reaching my waist... now's like half-way down my back le... =O but hmm it's ok! hehe My hair grow fast anyway hehe.. no worries!

Tomorrow my mom's coming to sg!! yayyyy!! Onward to home cooked food! My clothes will be ironed and my home will be neat n clean!! I love u mom!! hehe... Will be picking her up at the airport tmr =) until then... see uuuu allll hehehe

2nd Night Shift

Mood of the day: Mauving to Manitoba

Bleah not so lucky night today =O First thing I came in, I heard Ivan taking a phone call of another Transfusion Reaction case from one patient in the ward *hu hu...* Another one.... geee... how come so mani Transfusion Reaction one these days?? Sum more symptoms of the Transfusion Reaction is Fever, so have to do more steps in the investigation blehhhhhhh!! I hate it =P

Then few hours later, I got a call from Emergency Department (ED) saying that they want to take Emergency Uncrossmatched blood for one Unknown Male Indian =O... Poly trauma case.. probably road traffic accident. Dunno what kind yet, maybe I shud buy tomorrow's newspaper to see if the case is in the newspaper anot. Juz this afternoon, Ivan n the rest got to entertain many bleeders and three of them passed away unfortunately... bless their souls.. Hmm... I wonder if this being the school holidays have got to do with the increased number of road traffic accidents? Hmm..

Oh well... I hope the rest of the night is peaceful. I see that the other sections are pretty busy also and I heard that there's a downtime at their side for a few hours later. hmmm... but hor normally, downtime means that there won't be a lot of specimens coming by. *fingers crossed*

I think lucky Cat has struck again! heh... it's my first night shift tonight and so far so good... other than that Febrile Transfusion Reaction that I had to investigate earlier on. Hmm.. quite a BIG difference from Voldy's night previously and Ivan's night the day before. wheeee... *victory sign*

I'm feeling kinda sad for Voldy cuz no one trust what she say anymore, that eventhough she says that she had a busy night shift, we tend to raise our eyebrows and think silently, "Oh Really??" But huh... we got spies at the other section too heee... can verify whether she's really busy or is she eating snake at night?

Happen to peek by Ben Vangogh's flickr pages today n hmmmmmmmm he takes really nice food photos, Jap food especially heee.... Now I got some places noted down for future reference heh!

Dear asked me to check out this site Ministry of Food @ Marina Square. The website looks sophisticated heh! Shud try that with dear the next time we go to Marina Square. =D

Ter oso juz visited Daidomon Charcoal BBQ @ Beach Rd. Upon knowing how much he spent per person.... I dun tink I wud be suggesting this place for our Guild Gathering =O Dunno if spending S$60 plus is ok for them or not... Nonetheless!! It's one of the place I'd want to visit too with dear hehe....

My mom's planning to visit me on 28th May to June for my birthday heee!! Yippe! On ward to home-cooked meals on daily basis!! ah....... heaven! U ppl with cooking moms at home are soooooooooooooooo lucky!!! How I wish my Mom is staying with me =O *pout* but erhm... tink I'd tip the scales for sure n dear wud nag me again hu hu.....

Ok, it's almost that time of the month again... zzz... I can feel myself being bloated again with the water retention... Mood wise.. I tink I'm pretty ok this time round heh! I hope! I noticed my weight increased a lil too *pout*, I juz hope it'll go down back to normal as it normally would after the time is over...

Dear asked me why I want to blog when I can juz talk to him abt the stuff I write on blog. Well... there are simply things that I juz need to reflect on and I tink writing suits it best. Plus, some months or years down the road, I can still browse thru my blog pages and re-read my blogs and laugh myself silly on the stupid things I did. I think it'll be pretty nice to read that at least some events occured over the years rather than... not remembering what the heck I did for the past 5 years or so... N my memory tends to be very very bad.... I'm a forgetful person haha.... blur too.. zzz..

Another Hot Day to go through....

*yawn* I'm glad I'm NOT working today... Had a hard time sleeping yesterday cuz it's so bloody hot... air-con's running but doesn't seem to help much in cooling my room... perhaps cuz the afternoon sun had been shining all day long straight to my room.... Where's the rain when u need them most??

Woke up early today at 9 am cuz we had an appointment to go HDB hub at 10.30 am for flat selection that we were short-listed for. We were aiming for this particular unit at Holland Blk 18D unit #31-425 but.......... *sob* I guess the unit's not fated to us cuz the lady officer told us that it had juz been taken by an earlier queue number =( Oh well... what's not urs won't be urs ba? I guess we'll be aiming for flats at Punggol & Sengkang area. *lol* May have a chance to be a Sengkang-rian!! Rejoice!

Well after that, went to Raffles City to get my altered Levi's Jeans. Heh... I tink I kinda take a liking to this "Marisa" Bootcut style cuz it fits nicely hehe.. While I was there I tried this white t-shirt top which looks nice too......... tried it n... no turning back! BOUGHT! lol Dear was trying some jeans, particularly looking for Levi's 522 cut but there was none that caught his eye I guess, though I kinda like one of the pair of jeans that he tried on.

Went hunting for food later on... wanted to eat at the Japanese Marche but it's not open yet *sob* whuaiiiiiiiiiii........... =( So went to eat at Din Tai Fung instead heeee.... *slurps* that reminds me of the xiao long bao that we had juz now... so juicy n succulent... combine that with the vinegar + ginger & chilli paste........ HEAVEN!! *slurps*

We had:
- Sweet & sour soup
- Prawn & pork dumpling soup
- Xiao long bao
- Siew Mai
- Yam paste bun

We ate until we want to explode.... *lol* total bill was S$32.70 (Dear treated heee....=X ) I tink the price's quite reasonable =D Definitely not disappointed with my first visit to Din Tai Fung... Or was is simply cuz I'm too hungry that everything I ate taste wonderfully tasty? heh...

okie continuing my previous blog...

Didn't have the energy yesterday to write after I reached home *yawn* Dear insisted on going home first before staying over cuz he felt awkward in his shirt n pants. I told him it doesn't matter but well he went home anyway =P So I clearing some stuff to AH n chatting with my wow friends but by the time i'm done I was so sleepi that i told my dear i go n sleep first. I dun tink he has the energy to take the mrt or bus over to my place too since it's already past midnight anyway. So I concussed... for the first time this week for 10 hours!! Woahhhh!! Shiok!! Waking up early everyday consecutively for like.... 5 days is a pure torture!! So happy that i finally got my sleeping beauty finally heh...

Ok continuing abt the movie that we caught the other day with the rest of EOD gang. We watched "Made of Honour"... hummmmmmmmm *thinking* well frankly speaking, I'm quite disappointed with the movie cuz judging from the trailer I saw the other time, I thought the movie has the potential to... hmm make us laugh silly? The tempo of the show throughout was.... hummm... stagnant with occasional tiny peaks tt induced our intrique and sadly....... the climax is....... non-existent!!

Though the movie has very nice ceoncept on the platonic friendship between the female n male leading actors but hmm i guess there were no sparks flying between them. So the mood of the movie throughout was rather casual... The movie did got me thinking though, that it would be relly nice to have a friend (guy or not) to have a friendship of that level, casual banters & private games that only they two can play or know abt. =D haha... that reminds me of some fun stuff *lol*

Well... erm.. I feel kinda guilty having put 19 ppl through this movie heee.... and having most of them being guys.... doesn't help either. haiz... maybe I should have waited for Indiana Jones the movie instead of this movie huh? =P Well... lesson learned, no more romantic comedies for big Guild Outings!! Save choice is hmm i guess action movies heee....

Hmmm... yah, went to Raffles City yesterday. Went there to see see Levis jeans cuz hmm I only have 1 currently and i kinda have no jeans to wear if I wash that... zzz... Lucky enough, I found 1 pair to my liking!! heh! The cutting of the jeans fit me and juz feels great! There's another one that I wanted too... but... erm... was refraining myself to buy more hehe... The staff offered me to buy the JayGee membership card. All I have to do is pay $50 and I'll get a 10% off regular-priced merchandise, an additional 5% off sale items and 20% off regular-priced items on my birthday month which conveninently falls on... this month!! haha... On top of that, for the signing up freebies, they gave me a denim belt bag plus 2 leather belts n a metalic buckle to go along with it. I definitely say... it's worth it!! Got the jeans to be altered, to be taken today... but... erm dun feel like going out today *yawn*

Actually wanted to try the Japanese buffet... but... but... the queue was so damn LONG!! Practically every restaurants had long queues =( *sigh* I guess it's Friday night afterall. In the end, we went on to try the Kuriya (Restaurant & Market) instead. Zzzz... if I had known before hand how much we wud end up paying... I wud have opted to queue at the Japanese Buffet!

Guess how much we spent for those items..... $97!! *faint* No I didn't let my bf pay all =P I'm an independent working woman! Though dear wanted to pay for the dinner, I insisted that we share the bill heh.. Actually, we wanted to go clubbing at Brix but erm... I think i'm not the clubbing type... paying $25 cover charge for 1 over-priced free drink n music hummmm makes me think twice. I'd rather spend the $ to go somewhere for a nice dinner heee....

Ach... my hair is getting messier!!! I need to have a haircut soon!! Better make that appointment with Sam next week *taking a mental note*

So here I am at Raffles City basement sitting at one (er....... can't say quiet & secluded) corner writing my blog on my organizer while waiting for my dear to reach. Apparently he missed his bus, so i suppose he'll be pretty late ba... a chance for me to write blog while waiting? Blessing in diguise? Win-Win situation? blehhh.... juz finished my 3 days course on "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" & I'm still having this good vibes everytime *lol* I'll talk abt the 3 day course later or another day... it's a long one

Heh... I admit that I have been slacking in writing lol.... Sorry to my handful of fans.... the mood to write strikes back!!

Had this EOD dinner come movie gathering yesterday at Vivo City. Heh... it's a lovely surprise that we manage to get 19 people to gather for a brief mingling ard. It's juz soooo nice to see one another 'LIVE' once in a while yeah? (er... becuz of this... I got the title of RL Gathering & Outing Councilor for EOD <-- juz kena arrowed by Jon our GL. ) Lol.... well, I don't mind setting up outings, after all, it'll give us time to get each other more right?

Anyway, we had dinner at Vivo Marche (gee... didn't know it's the newest & ONLY Marche chain left in SG!!) It goes to show how long I haven't gone to Marche =P We had to split the table into 2 cuz I guess they can't find a table to fit 16 people at once =( (Made a mental note to find a place that has bigger tables in future) A lot of us had more or less the same orders hehe... like Rosti with sausages & mushroom soups & Calamansi & sour plum drink =)

I'm really glad that we had no trouble entertaining ourselves.. Topic wise... haha... well our topic has always been the same - WOW. Can't ever finish discussing on that topic heee.. Of course, there was one topic abt Ter's sprained ankle from his basketballfeat the previous day... now whether or not that is good news or bad news.... it's kinda tricky cuz with 2 days MC for Thurs & Fri... then there's Sat & Sun... plus Monday being a Vesak Day Public Holiday.... *cheeky giggle* that's a super long holiday Ter!!! Gimme that sprained ankle!! hehe....

Seeing Ter limp his way ard Vivo so ke lian.... reminds me of my basketball days back in Sec sch & Poly cuz I was soooo prone to spraining my ankles bleh..... Dun ask me why I'm still so short when I use to play basketball last time =P Juz not blessed with height!! haha.... Dawn & me has always envied tall people for the sole reason of.... well simply cuz the air is so much fresher "up there" *lol* & don't have to suffer having your face right in front of someone's smelly, sweaty armpits while standing in a crowded bus or mrt. Yeeekkk talk abt yucky!

Ah.... want to stop writing liao cuz writing on paper is juz so tiring... I'd rather type anytime!! But dear juz sms-ed me saying that he's stuck in a jam... =O heee I'm happy that he took the initiative to inform me of his current situation rather than waiting for me to ask him where he is. Hummmm... in the end he went to go to Starbucks instead n sms-ed me saying that he felt uneasy so he's gonna juz wait there till it's movie time =X

Hmm... haven been seeing much of dear lately =( A lot of times we arrange to meet or for him to go over to my place.. but most of the time end up something crop up and we cannot meet again =( *sigh* Need to spend more time with him... tink I neglected him n he's unhappy with me playing so much *frown frown*

Went to watch Ironman the on Friday at Plaza Singapura at 4.50pm with Angie, Das & Xav. Ironman's cool!! I love it when they convert comic stuff to movies =D So action packed! hehe... Somehow.... Ironman reminds me of.... Paladins hahahaa.... Siao charbo... Wish I could watch Ironman with dear though... *frown* I wish we could watch movies more often together, I feel we spend too many times speculating whether the show is nice or not and end up missing a lot of shows. I know that it's expensive watching movies outside now, but still... I tink once a month at least shud be ok ba...
